Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

YeahSnow ("we", "our", "us") runs a free ski pass comparison calculator at yeahsnow.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

We are a small independent project, not a company with a privacy department. This policy is written to describe what the site actually does rather than to sound impressive.

2. What we collect

If you use the contact form

We collect what you type into it:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your message

This is stored in our database and also emailed to us so we see it.

If you use the calculator

The resorts and dates you enter are processed in your browser to produce a result. We do not store your trip.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Between them these record your approximate location, device and browser, which pages you view, and — through Clarity — a replay of how you moved and clicked within a page.

Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation. In the EU, EEA and UK, neither tool loads until you accept them; see our Cookie Policy.

Server logs

Our host records standard request logs, including IP address, user agent and requested URL. These are used for operating and debugging the site.

What we do not collect

• Payment information — the site is free and takes no payments
• Accounts — there is no public sign-up
• Anything from third-party sign-in providers

3. Why we use it

• To reply to you when you write to us
• To see which parts of the calculator people actually use, so we can improve it
• To keep the site running and diagnose problems

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who else sees it

The site runs on services that necessarily handle some of this data:

• Vercel — hosting and request logs
• Neon — the database, hosted in the United States
• Resend — sends the notification email when you use the contact form
• Google — Google Analytics
• Microsoft — Clarity

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to.

5. Where it is stored

Our database and hosting are in the United States. If you are outside the US, using the site means your information is processed there, under different data protection laws than your own.

6. How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept until we no longer need them to handle your enquiry, and we delete them on request. Analytics data follows the retention settings of Google Analytics and Clarity.

7. Security

Traffic to the site is encrypted with TLS, and the database is access-controlled. That said, we are a small project: we do not run formal security audits, and no site can promise absolute security.

8. Your rights

Wherever you are, you can email us at support@yeahsnow.com and ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will do it.

If you are in the EEA or UK, the GDPR additionally gives you the right to object to or restrict processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know, to delete, to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us something through the contact form, email us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

The calculator links out to Epic and Ikon's own websites so you can buy a pass. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
